Roll-on/Roll-off means your vehicle or machine is driven aboard under its own power or on a mafi trailer. No container is involved, so out-of-gauge cargo travels easily and the cost is lower than containerised shipping.
Can a non-running vehicle be shipped?
Yes. Non-running units are loaded on a mafi trailer. Flag this on your quote request — it carries a different rate band and the loading has to be scheduled in advance.
May I leave personal effects inside the vehicle?
Usually not. Carriers and customs rarely permit loose personal effects and they fall outside the insurance cover. Contact us if you need to send belongings — a separate declaration is sometimes possible.
Customs
Which documents do I need to export from the Netherlands?
For a vehicle: the original registration documents (parts I and II), the invoice or bill of sale, a copy of your ID, and the export declaration (EX-A). Transit to Jordan or Iraq adds a T1 document. We file the declaration and check your file before the cargo moves to the quay.
Tracking
How do I track my shipment?
Use Track & Trace on this site with your B/L number or the vehicle chassis number (VIN). You will see the current status, the vessel name and the expected arrival date.
Transit
Do you also handle transport onward from Lattakia to Jordan or Iraq?
Yes. After discharge in Lattakia we arrange onward road transport to Damascus, Homs, Aleppo, Amman, Baghdad and Erbil among others, including the transit paperwork. Allow a few additional days on top of the sea leg.
Which port does my shipment sail from?
Amsterdam is our home port and the standard departure port for the Levant. Depending on the sailing we can also load in Rotterdam or Antwerp, which we agree with you in advance.
